The provincial government is investing $210 Million into the redevelopment of the Lachine Hospital. This will include renovations to the current building and the construction of a new wing on the property’s southwest corner (16th avenue and St-Antoine St.).
Upgrades to the current building will ensure that it meets with current standards of infrastructure, security and infection control, with an emphasis on single-patient rooms.
The new wing will house, among others, a state-of-the-art emergency room and acute care unit, modern medical and surgical units and a 10-bed palliative care department.
Construction is expected to begin at the end of 2022 and finish in 2026.
